Tatum competes actively in show jumping and keeps her horses at her parents’ stable. She shares about her 7-year-old horse Flecki:
“I competed her up to Z-level jumping. But during a training session at home over some low jumps, he twisted himself. It didn’t feel right, even though there was no lameness at that moment. I stopped immediately, but the next day he was standing in the stable with a swollen leg.”
After examination by the vet, it was confirmed to be a tendon injury.
“We immediately started with laser therapy. The swelling reduced fairly quickly, but the injured area still remained a bit thick. When Manon got involved, she also suggested adding Nano CellCare to support optimal recovery.”
Visible Results
“After a few treatments you could clearly see the swelling decrease, and now it’s almost invisible. Basically, I went from having a horse that wasn’t allowed to jump anymore to one that just competed again for the first time. You can’t make me happier than that.”
Bolivia Also Suffered a Tendon Injury
It wasn’t the first time Tatum faced a tendon injury. Her other horse, Bolivia, also had one earlier.
“During a multi-day competition, I felt on the very first day that something was wrong. I stopped, and at home a scan revealed multiple lesions in her tendon. The vet’s prognosis was grim at first. Yes, it would heal, but scar tissue would form, and since show jumping requires flexible tendons, she wouldn’t be able to do that anymore.”
Looking Further
“Manon, who was treating Bolivia with the laser, thought that conclusion was too limited and also started treating her with Nano CellCare. We decided to try, and in the end the vet was very positive. He thought it would be a shame to retire such a horse and advised me to bring her back.”
During the course of treatment, Tatum again saw clear results.
“I even took her back to competition. She was fresh and happy to be out again. What stood out most was that there was still some swelling on the leg, and after 2–3 treatments it started to go down. The leg really dried up, and now you can’t see anything at all anymore. Not even on the scan.”
What These Treatments Meant for Tatum, Flecki, and Bolivia:
✓ Visible reduction of swelling in the legs
✓ Full recovery of injuries, confirmed by scan
✓ Return to the competition circuit possible
✓ Horses fit and happy to compete again
“I am very happy with the results. Basically, I went from having a horse that wasn’t allowed to jump anymore to one that just competed again for the first time. You can’t make me happier than that.”
