Annabel was looking for a reliable and willing horse to build a bond with.
“With Bijou I immediately felt that connection. She was exactly what I wanted: very sweet and eager to work. With good instruction, our riding kept improving, but still something felt off. I noticed she was stiff in her body. At one point, she didn’t want to go forward easily anymore and started bucking when asked to canter. I didn’t know what was causing it.”
Search for a Clear Diagnosis
To find out what was going on, Annabel took her to the clinic.
“She was 15 when I bought her. Looking back, I think she already had these issues, but I didn’t know her well enough yet to recognize them right away. They first took X-rays and ultrasounds of her hind legs, but nothing showed up. Then they asked if they could also take a picture of her back, because the muscle development there was lagging. I said: go ahead, because I just wanted to know what was wrong.”
The result was clear: Bijou had kissing spines, grade 2.
“That’s relatively mild—there are seven grades—but she was definitely bothered by it. You could notice it when saddling or putting on a rug. She always got angry then. Arthritis was also diagnosed in her neck, for which she was given anti-inflammatories. Her back was treated with mesotherapy. Honestly, I didn’t notice much difference from that.”
A New Approach with Nano CellCare
On advice, Annabel decided to try Nano CellCare as extra support. The effect surprised her immediately.
“After the first treatment, I already noticed a difference when putting on the rug. Normally she would always get angry, but now she didn’t react at all. I was really amazed. I also saw a clear change in her movement and posture. I don’t ride her myself anymore, but I can see that she moves more easily and better. It’s like she has springs under her hooves. Even the way she canters—I thought: what is happening here? She became so much more relaxed and supple.”
What This Treatment Meant for Annabel and Bijou:
✓ Less sensitivity and irritation when saddling or putting on rugs
✓ Relaxed and free movement
✓ Smoother canter with more expression
✓ A visibly happier and more relaxed horse
“I was truly amazed, I see a completely different horse now.”
