“She used to always lead the way, but now she was falling behind”

When Margo adopted 25-year-old mare Evita from the riding school, everything seemed perfect.
“I had known her for years and was so happy to give her a wonderful retirement. But it didn’t take long before I noticed something was wrong. Evita started walking slowly, withdrew from the herd, and was unusually quiet. She had always been the one in front, but now she was lagging behind. At first, there was no obvious lameness, but her whole posture had changed.”
The vet suspected a tendon sheath inflammation. Rest was advised.
“But that only made things worse. She wasn’t improving, she became more uncomfortable and eventually irregular in her gait.
That broke my heart. I thought: this can’t be it, can it?
A different approach: through Joëlle and Nano CellCare
Through her instructor, Margo got in touch with Joëlle Damiana of Equi-Vitaal.
“Joëlle took her time, explained everything clearly, and suggested an ultrasound. That gave us answers.”
The diagnosis was tough:
- Three lesions in the deep flexor tendon
- Extensive old scar tissue
- Arthritis in the right hind leg
Together they decided to start an intensive program of 21 Nano CellCare sessions.
“Evita was still so full of life. I wanted to try everything for her.”
Recovery step by step – with big results
During the program, Joëlle also applied other therapies to enhance the effect.
“She came to our home, was honest and involved. That gave me confidence. We saw Evita slowly coming back to life.”
After the 21 sessions, a follow-up ultrasound showed:
- The three tendon lesions were completely healed
- Without scar tissue
- Evita moved more smoothly and was more active than she had been in months
Additional sessions were done to address the old scar tissue, after which Evita’s behavior visibly improved as well.
What this meant for Margo:
- Evita is now back to recreational riding cheerful, active, and enjoying her work.
- The treatment was more than symptom relief, it gave her back her zest for life.
- Despite her age and the severity of the issues, full tendon recovery was possible.
“I’m so glad I didn’t just follow the vet’s advice to wait it out. This truly made the difference for Evita.”
